Dancer:
This song is about a girl who never says how she feels, or acts how she really is—she “dances around” being her true self, for she is afraid of what people will think. The theme is facing your demons and enjoying life.
The song is an electropop dance song that samples the chorus rift of "Hung Up" by Madonna at the bridge.

Icing:
This song describes a girl meeting a guy at a club, and realizing that he is far more than he appears at first. It’s a love song, and she's telling him, “I love the sex—but that’s just the icing on the cake. I love you for who you are.” It’s very much a part 2 to “Dancer”, which is why it’s the second track—but it’s the flip side. It’s embracing yourself, that self you're afraid to show from "Dancer".
This song is a mid-tempo ballad. Think Eh Eh by GaGa and Unusual You combined.

Deranged:
This song is a very dark. It’s Britney narrating as a freak who nobody wants to touch, and noting that after everyone makes fun of her, everyone else copies exactly what they make fun of her for.
This song is a spooky dance track. It's Maneater by Nelly Furtado meets Gimme More.

Hot Topic:
Referencing the Great Gatsby in the lyrics, this song deals with society's fascination with celebrity. Lyrically, it's If U Seek Amy and Kill the Lights combined. Musically, it's a power ballad. Musically think Don't Speak by No Doubt meets a slow version of Circus.

Limbo is a personal song about being caught in between career and love. Musically, it's also a power ballad, like I Run Away and GaGa's Alejandro combined.

This song is about our fear of a desk job, and a typical work day, and it’s sort of a parody of that—being restless, and wanting to get out and so something. It's a duet with Lady GaGa, and is Womanizer-esque electropop.

This song’s about getting a fresh start with your life, reinventing yourself, and trying something new and radical. It mentions revolution.
Musically, it's an alternative rock song, something completely different than she's ever done.

It’s aheartfelt ballad with a very slight twinge of country and a Beatles-esque vibe. It’s about being a small fish in a society where you can’t really get anywhere—and trying to overcome that, by just living your life and loving and doing your thing. It’s very simple lyrically.
